Want to boost immunity?
A study was done in 1995 at Mie University that found that citrus
fragrances boosted immunity, induced relaxation, and helped to
balance the mood. All of this simply by inhaling citrus fragrances!
You can't get much simpler than that.
Another very beneficial fragrance is that of jasmine. One reason
why some essential oils cost more is how much plant material
is needed to get even a small amount of pure oil. But it is oh so
worth it. One pound of jasmine oil requires 1,000 pounds of
jasmine or 3.6 million fresh, unpacked blossoms.
The blossoms must be collected before sunrise, or much of the
fragrance will have evaporated. The quality of the blossoms may
also be compromised if they are crushed. A single pound of pure
jasmine oil may cost between $1,200 and $4,500. In contrast,
synthetic jasmine oils can be obtained for $3.50 per pound, but
they do not possess the same therapeutic qualities as the pure
oil. Most other oils are adulterated and that is why you want to
stick with Young Living for essential oils.
The fragrance of jasmine oil is uplifting. University researchers
in Japan found that diffusing certain aromas in an office
environment dramatically improved mental accuracy and
concentration. Diffused lemon resulted in 54% fewer errors,
jasmine 33% fewer errors, and lavender 20% fewer errors. When
aromas were diffused during test taking, scores increased by
as much as 50% ! So if parents and teachers really want to
help kids do better in school start diffusing our oils every day
at home and in school. You just might see grades improve as
well as behaviour. Why not give it a try and see what happens?
